About A Better Life Guatemala
We are a nonprofit working to improve the lives of vulnerable families in rural and indigenous communities. Since 2021, we have provided access to healthcare, education, and social support, creating dignified and sustainable opportunities. With the help of local leaders, volunteers, and donors, we bring medical care, training, food, and hope to those who need it most.

Our Vision is simple: a Guatemala where every family has the opportunity to live in health, safety, and hope..
We work hand in hand with local leaders, volunteers, and donors to bring lasting solutions where poverty has created barriers. Whether it’s through a medical clinic in a remote village, a sewing class for women, or delivering a bed to a child who has never had one, every action we take is rooted in compassion and community.
Each project is designed not only to meet an immediate need, but to inspire long-term change. We listen to the voices of the communities we serve, and we build trust by walking alongside them—day by day, family by family.
Our work is not about charity alone; it’s about empowerment, dignity, and hope.
Our Mission
A Better Life Guatemala (ABLG) is a nonprofit organization that empowers vulnerable, rural, and indigenous communities in Guatemala by providing access to healthcare, education, and social protection services.
Through medical brigades, community programs, and strategic partnerships, we work toward a more dignified life and sustainable development for those who need it most.
Our Vision
We are committed to improving the lives of Guatemalan families through inclusive community work, collaboration, and sustainable solutions.
We strive to be a model for other non-profits by empowering the communities we serve and creating long-term impact.
Our Story
How We Got Started
A Better Life Guatemala (ABLG) was founded by Archie, a native Guatemalan, and his wife, after witnessing firsthand the deep needs of overlooked and underserved families across the country.
During Archie’s years working as a driver and translator for humanitarian teams, he saw the daily struggles of people lacking access to health care, education, and basic necessities. Compassion turned into action.
Together, they launched ABLG with the mission to empower communities and offer families the opportunity for a better life—with dignity, equity, and hope.
Where We Are Now
In Guatemala, countless families still lack access to quality education, healthcare, safe housing, clean water, and nutritious food.
For many, something as simple as a bed, a stove, or a water filter can be truly life-changing—opening the door to a better future.
At A Better Life Guatemala, we are committed to improving living conditions by providing essential services and practical tools.
Our goal is to empower individuals and families to become self-sufficient, enabling them to care for themselves and their loved ones.
As a result, the transformation extends beyond each household, creating a positive ripple effect throughout entire communities.
